About Us

Manufacturing executives know that striving for sustainability is no longer simply an option. Instead, it is a survival skill in a "green" global marketplace. But how do we get there? The answer might be easier than you think. Your facility might already be implementing lean practices, but you can improve your operations even more and reduce your environmental impact by expanding your efforts to include lean and green!

The Green Suppliers Network works with large manufacturers to target and engage key suppliers in customized, hands-on assessments of production processes to reduce energy consumption, minimize carbon footprint, increase productivity, and drive innovation.

Green Suppliers Network reviews can help you:

  • See immediate results through hands-on training on the shop floor
  • Reduce overhead and manufacturing costs
  • Reduce environmental footprint
  • Improve supply chain relationships
  • Meet customer expectations and be better positioned in the green global marketplace

The Green Suppliers Network is a collaboration between the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Commerce (DoC) and was established to help small and medium-sized manufacturers stay competitive and profitable while reducing their impact on the environment.

The Green Supplies Network is now an integral component of E3—Economy, Energy, and Environment Initiative. E3 builds on and leverages the existing services of local, state, and federal government to help communities work with their manufacturing base to adapt and thrive in a new business era focused on sustainability.
